Efecto Dominó won the « Prix de la Jeunesse » in Clermont-Ferrand
 The film of Gabriel Gauchet the interchange program EICTV student, besides winning the Prix de la Jeunesse, awarded by the young jury during International Festival de Clermont-Ferrand, will continue taking part in France, Italy and Germany.

EICTV in Canal +
 By the end of 2009, a group of professionals from Canal + visited the School to make a report about the cinema in Cuba, the Havana Internacional Film Festival and of course about EICTV. Characters of Histoires de Cinema were Documentary students Jean Jean León from second year and Kike Cubero from third year. |
Brazil took the School in Carnival
 Last February 19, the whole community at EICTV joined that correspond to the carnivals taking place n Brazil during these days. Most of them were first-year students who recreated together with Pachi, Cuban Art Director, this celebration that included a float and spectacular costumes. |
Open new calls for High Studies Courses
 High Studies Courses have been a essencial part of the Teaching Program at EICTV since its foundation. Distinguished personalities such as Gabriel García Márquez, Jean Claude Carriere, Peter Greenaway, Doc Comparato and Jorge Goldenberg, have taken part in courses as the ones offered in these calls. |
Marta Zatonyi and Fernando Birri: The Life, the Existence, the Dreams?
 Last February 26 it was held one of the most expected meetings of the last years at EICTV: professor of aesthetics Marta Zatonyi and the School founder Fernando Birri in Pilar Miró TV studio. This historical meeting was a program live recorded by second year students. |
Good representation of the School at Muestra 2010
 Some EICTV students and graduates were awarded during the 9th edition of Muestra de Nuevos Realizadores. Works of Zoe G. Miranda, Hedidi Hassan, Javies Labrador, Ricardo Fontana, Armando Capó and Germán Peters are listed as winners. |
First Olympics at EICTV was really a success.
 The School founder, Fernando Birri holding a "little Olympic flame" with his forefinger, congratulated Tanya Valette and her team for demonstrating the significance of having reached the command of this teaching project by its graduates. |
