Omara Portuondo performed in the closing ceremony of the 2nd Meeting of Documentary Filmmakers.
 The 2nd Meeting of Documentary Filmmakers has been closed with the topic The Documentary and Human Community that offered a possibility to the interchange and exposition of ideas, to draw up projects and strategies to strengthen documentary genre in the Latin American context.

«Terra Incognita» will compete in Cartagena Film Festival
 The exercise of graduation of Rodrigo Álves, shot in 35 mm in 2009, was selected by organizers of the 50th edition of Cartagena Film Festival, to be held in Colombia, to take part in the documentary session. |
II Meeting of Documentary Filmmakers. EICTV 2010
 The Documentary and the Human Community will be the main topic of this second meeting. The visibility of the less represented minorities, the political militancy, the social activism, the formal responsibility and the ethic of documentary filmmaker, are some of the subject matters proposed to be discuss in this meeting. |
Open call for Industry Session in Guadalajara
 The actions in relation to the Industry Session for the 25th Edition of Guadalajara Film Festival and the 8th Guadalajara Film Market of Latin American Cinema are just opened. Registration deadline for the different sessions is on February 5, 2010. |

 Ovidio Gonzalez was opened at Cuban Embassy in Mexico. Those are images that relive the most representative faces of Cinema, the music, and the dance, ordinary people of the city and the magnificence of Havana as well. |
«La marea» selected by film critics as the best work of the year.
 La marea, graduation thesis of Armando Capó, was selected as one of the best documentary films exhibited in Cuba. According to the selection of Cuban works, El prermio flaco, directed by one of the first generation of EICTV graduates, Juan Carlos Cremata.

Last evaluations of Documentaries at Galuber Rocha
 The first half of the academic cycle ended up with the evaluation of the documentary exercises carried out by second and third year students. The screening of the twelve documentary films shot in Pinar del Río opened the evaluation session, concluding the last day with the evaluation of third year Documentary Series. |
